Bevel gears allow for the redirection of shaft power around 90-degree angles. They are most useful when paired with machines that accept power from the bottom, since nearly all engines output power from the sides.

When right clicking on the bevel gear, one is presented with a color map, where each color corresponds to a side of bevel gear. When right clicking on the bevel gear with a screw driver, colors matching those of the GUI color map are shown (+ standard input/output green/red). This allows for easy orienting of bevel gears, without guessing.

Tips & Tricks[]
- Bevel gears can be very useful to redirect power from one power source (such as an Industrial Coil) to multiple machines if they don't need to run at the same time. This is useful early on to save time. An example setup may have an Industrial Coil input, a Grinder on the left, a Coil Winder on the right, and an Extractor on top.
- If you lack diamond shafts to do a high speed/high torque transfer over small distance, a series of steel bevel gears can be used. Although a headache to place, they will withstand speeds/torques that steel shafts won't.
